What Our Jaws Were Made For
Our ancestors had to grind down food for hours each day. Foods from thousands or even hundreds of years ago were completely different from what we see in grocery stores today. They were less processed and much harder to break down. This meant the jaw had to work hard for every nutrient, resulting in stronger jaw muscles and well developed facial structures without crooked teeth. Looking at the skulls of our ancestors, this is evident. Wild animals also tend to have perfectly aligned teeth. Crooked teeth did not exist in the past and are largely a result of modern human diets and lifestyles.
